15th International Congress on Project Engineering

The Spanish Association of Project Engineering (AEIPRO), the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and the Higher Polytechnic School of Huesca, through its Project Engineering Area, would like to inform you about the celebration of 15th International Congress on Project Engineering, from July 6th to 8th 2011, in Huesca.

Huesca2011The Organizing Committee wishes this congress to become a meeting forum of all professionals related to engineering projects, as well as academics involved in training future professionals.

The start-up of the European Space for Higher Education (ESHE) in 2010 provides, has been providing and will continue to provide new elements to be taken into consideration in this field, due to the influence that the Bologne Reform is going to have in academic and business practice, even beyond the borders of the European Union.

In the same line, the Spanish Law 17/2009 of 23rd November 2009, on free access to services activities and their practice, has led to a profound change in the best way to understand and practice a profession.

Therefore, the Organizing Committee invites all professionals in the academic and business sectors to actively participate, so that their knowledge and experiences can help us formulate high quality courses for the benefit of new generation of professionals.

The motto of the congress: Projects Which Support A Territory, aims at constituting a common thread for all activities. It is considered to sums up quite well the contents of the main Congress’ activities. We will henceforth draw conclusions in that direction, for and from the people working in and teaching about managing projects. The region of Aragón: large hydroelectric projects in its north, wind park projects in its center, thermal power stations and combined cycle power plants in the south, dams and channel systems, as well as hydraulic systems for integrated water exploitation. All these make Aragón a territory structured around large projects of natural resource exploitation, as well as an experienced region in managing them.

We are willing to have with us specialists working in industry, public administration, university and research and development institutes, be it European or Latin-Americans. We want you to actively participate in this Congress through your enriching communications and attendance, about your business initiatives, research projects or experiences linked to the Area of Project Engineering.
